THANK YOU! ALERT: #234 Dear Incline Village & Crystal Bay Property Taxpayers, All of us owe a debt of gratitude to the wonderful Village League members who attended the hearing of the 2003 legal action before Judge Patrick Flanagan last Thursday. The courtroom was completely filled with attentive, respectful participants who observed perfect decorum during the three hour presentation of oral arguments by Attorney Suellen Fulstone, who represented all of the 9000 homeowners in Incline Village and Crystal Bay, versus the three attorneys representing Washoe County and the State of Nevada. Judge Flanagan seemed to appreciate the fact that so many folks took time from their busy schedules to observe this incredibly important milestone in our efforts to achieve uniform and equal taxation. In fact, he took an unusual step to accommodate us by asking for and receiving authority to continue past the 5:00 P.M. court deadline so that all parties could complete their presentations. The purpose of this hearing was for the court to decide whether to allow this legal action to continue or to dismiss it, as was requested by Washoe County and the State. Judge Flanagan stated that he would issue his written decision within a two week period. Of course, we will notify all of you with an Alert as soon as we receive his Order. Once again, we extend our thanks for the support of those of you that were able to attend and also to those of you who kept us in your thoughts. We need all of the help that we can get!! Sincerely, Maryanne Ingemanson Maryanne Ingemanson, President ------------------------------------ Village League to Save Incline Assets Board Members:
