Dear Incline Village & Crystal Bay Property Tax Protesters,

The State Board of Equalization (SBOE) unanimously voted to reject the Washoe County Assessor’s appeal that challenged our win at the Washoe County Board of Equalization (CBOE) on March 8, 2006. The CBOE unanimously voted to roll back ALL Incline Village and Crystal Bay personal property values to the 2002-03 valuation for the tax year 2006-07.

Attorney Suellen Fulstone represented the taxpayers and did an outstanding job. Special thanks to all who attended today’s hearing and to those who stood up and spoke to the State Board of Equalization members. Your testimony clearly made an impact.

Please hold all your email questions to Maryanne and myself for at least a week. Maryanne and the Village League Board members need to collect all the facts and then determine the strategy for the next steps.

Several property owners have already received their 2009/10 property tax bill. We will also let you know what to do with these bills in the next couple of weeks.
