Dear Incline Village & Crystal Bay Property Tax Protesters,

Once again, the State Board of Equalization (SBOE) is hearing the Washoe County Assessor’s appeal of our 2006- 2007 tax year victory which we previously won for EVERY PROPERTY OWNER in Incline Village and Crystal Bay.

The amounts of refunds at stake are enormous, and the County is frantically fighting us at every turn and in every possible way.

The hearing will be:

• July 20, 2009, 9:00 A.M.
  Washoe County Admission Complex
  Bldg A Commission Chambers
  1001 East Ninth Street
  Reno, Nevada

Parking is not a problem. The facility will accommodate all of those who can join us. Park in the back, if the front parking area is full.

Every taxpayer is being represented by Attorney Suellen Fulstone, so you will not have to speak unless you so desire.

It has come to our attention that the Nevada Policy Research Institute (NPRI) has engaged the services of John Dougherty, a nationally known investigative reporter, to spend several months analyzing the Incline Village Tax Revolt. This is a wonderful and welcome unfolding event, about which we will keep you informed.

The recent NPRI analysis of the Las Vegas Convention & Visitors Authority (LVCVA) was also performed by John Dougherty. Click on “NPRI's Transparency Project on the LVCVA: May 19, 2009 update" for this report.

You will be stunned by the explosive information exposed about this Las Vegas association.

It will be interesting to see just what facts he uncovers about the tax situation in Washoe County.
