Finally, the State Board of Equalization (SBOE) has scheduled a hearing for a portion of the taxpayers who filed individual Petitions for the 2008-2009 tax year with the Washoe County Board of Equalization in January 2007.

Can you believe that it has taken this long? The hearing days are April 27, 28 and 29, 2009. If you can, please try to at least attend in the morning of Monday, April 27. It is enormously important.

4 NEW BOARD MEMBERS

This will be the first time that the 4 new SBOE members have heard any appeals from the Incline Village/Crystal Bay area from taxpayers represented by the Village League. The nearly 1,350 taxpayers will be represented at this hearing by Attorney Suellen Fulstone.

It is important that the SBOE realize the determination of the Village League to obtain equal and uniform tax assessments for ALL property owners in IV/CB.

We hesitate to request that you attend the multitudinous meetings at which the Directors of the League must be present; however, this hearing is special!!
